Blue Grass Army Depot

Blue Grass Army Depot is located in Richmond, KY. It was established in 1941 and is a Strategic Mobility Power Projection ammunition depot and the primary Southeast Regional Distribution Point for all Department of Defense munitions. With its mission to receive, store, issue, maintain, renovate and demilitarize both conventional and non-standard ammunition for all DOD services, it aligns closely with the STAR4D goals.

Blue Grass painters first attended STAR4D training back in June 2006.  It was not until 2009 that Blue Grass officially became a STAR4D satellite site. The first certification course was held at the end of 2009 and training still continues to keep painters continually certified.
