  • MIARGN Recognized for Environmental Stewardship
    • STAR4D is proud to announce the Michigan Army National Guard (MIARGN) Joint Forces Headquarters and its Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS) and Environmental Division have been recognized for their environmental stewardship and sustainability in the region. MIARGN has been working with STAR4D to implement training and improve operations.
  • New certification revolutionizes the way the CCAD paints aircraft (CCAD Aircraftsman, March 2009)
    • With delicate precision, Timothy Justice narrows his eyes and beings "painting." He is using a virtual-reality based paint training simulator and he's about to be one of six painters at Corpus Christi Army Depot to receive the very first chemical agent resistant coating (CARC) certification from a DLA-funded research and development group based in Iowa.
  • IAAFA Continues Building STAR4D Train-the-Trainer Program
    • During January, five personnel from the Inter-American Air Forces Academy, 318th Training Squadron (IAAFA; Lackland Air Force Base, TX) attended STAR4D® training. STAR4D and IAAFA have been working together since 2004 through the train-the-trainer program. Through this program, personnel from military instructional facilities can be trained to become STAR4D certified instructors.

Six individuals attended the STAR4D Coatings Technician Certification Course, all six were trained as certified instructors May 5 - May 7, 2009 at the STAR4D Cedar Falls, IA location. These painters are pictured to the right. The painters came from Camp Lejeune, MCLB Albany, and MCLB Barstow.
